Sharing sonography/cardiography exam units
Wed Nov 14, 2018 11:40 pm
Has anyone had any luck with multiple departments sharing a cardiography and sonography exam unit or no? I hate having to build and staff multiples

No luck here. I think they each need their own units.

Yeah that's what I'm finding out. Really is something that needs changed imo

It would be nice if Radiology could have sonar units for use by smaller departments.

Same with labs. I suggested in the improvements section to move all testing services into a separate department. Shouldn’t have to have everything open at night when it’s hardly used at night. I also put in there to have imaging work out of a pool; load wise I only need about two at night but need a minimum of four so that all machines are available

My hospital does something similar, instead of radiology we have an "Imaging department" where all this. including xrays etc, is done.
