[OPEN LOW] Are labs exclusive for hospitalization really necessary? Empty [OPEN LOW] Are labs exclusive for hospitalization really necessary?

I have labs exclusive for hospitalization patients (and no other labs available for hospitalization), but I never saw those technicians work at all. The patients just get their results out of nowhere. So what is the point of this mechanic?

did the same here; I prefer to run my trauma unit as a department that has nearly all the services for hospitalized patients only. Noticed as well that the technologists seemed to never be working, even when I requested a blood draw for a trauma patient (TC hospitalization).

Hi, the roles are mostly meant for technologists performing examinations at radiology or in specialized units at different departments, the lab samples aren't really differentiated by the time they reach the lab (the best solution here on our side would be to change the displayed roles for technologists assigned to labs).

Well, from what I do recall of my experience is that I did set the Hemo (I only created and staffed a hemo lab in my trauma center) to hospitalized patients only. Now when I did request a blood draw from a trauma patient the doctor would perform the task and then things got "fuzzy from there." Now do employees come and pick-up the sample from the draw location or, for that matter, what is the process for a hospitalized-patients only hemo/STAT lab? Nevertheless, the sample was completed...perhaps because I had another technologist in my clinical lab that was available for hospitalized-patients.
