DLC : How does Visiting works?

Really enjoying this new DLC even if having some (occasional) crash on startup (might be my graphic card going bonkers again). That's great stuff!

I had a question about how visiting works, because I've tried it on a new Sandbox game, but I didn't see any visitors yet! My gift shop is desperately empty

I'm having a reception for emergencies, a gift shop, but also a visitors's lounge in my internal medicine and surgery departments (with hospitalisations). The surgery department is lacking a reception, but I feel i'm missing something else?

How many in game hours did you give? Sometimes with changes, you need midnight to happen so the game can queue up new patients etc.

Patients visited get a + for their mood (+ visited). However, without a gift shop, they also get a (- did not get gift), which seems to neutralize the effect. If you have a gift shop, they will have a (+ got a gift) instead, which is good. Lounges built for department seem to limit the number of visitors. You might need one of those visitors chairs per patient/visitor combo. Funny thing - the visitor did not meet the patient there but went to the bed.
