[NEED MORE INFO] Bed Stuck On Top Floor Empty [NEED MORE INFO] Bed Stuck On Top Floor

Thu May 07, 2020 3:56 am
I was relocating all of my wards to departmental sections, from a ward are on the top floor, and this one bed cannot be removed.  It has been stuck for quite a few game days.  It was in the HDU ward for IM.  Nothing else appears to be stuck at the moment, although I deleted a lab last game night with two samples in the refrigerator.  i expect to hear about that one of these days.  ^^

Save attached.

Hi, I managed to find the patient who the bed is reserved by - Peter Hall, he's hospitalized at the new ward but just getting treated and will leave soon after loading the save. It's probably too late now to try to figure out what exactly he was doing when the ward got moved, there's probably a specific situation that can cause this - if you can remember anything, let us know!

In either case the bed reservation will get reset with the patient 'getting erased from the records' over midnight and you'll be able to remove the bed then.

He was filling free time, in this parent save from which Working was derived. He might have been undergoing treatment by the time I deleted the room. Working is the second time through the relocation. The first time through a wild swipe with the bulldozer wiped out parts of Radiology, and more importantly, the elevator. As you are aware, wiping out the elevator throws everyone above the first floor out of work and probably out of bed. It was 2:30 AM my time. That's what I get for playing for four hours in the middle of the night. Anyway, I got to do it all again the next day and it went faster the second time. The bed stuck both times. If this save helps anything, here it is.

Aha!  Caught Peter Hall at it.  I decided to relocate them a third time, having developed a better floor plan, and left the occupied beds until last.  Peter Hall is occupying two beds in the original ward.  He evidently gets moved once, but does not release the second bed until he finally leaves the hospital.  Here is a save with him occupying the two beds on the top floor, before any patients are relocated.  I am including the log file also.
