Let idle hospitalized patients buy stuff in the gift shop
Fri May 08, 2020 3:03 pm
As stated above.
Reason: from my last hospital experience this was the place, where I got a new newspaper and some chocolate for the boring times at the ward.
From the props I can see in the shop, it has fruit, newspapers/books, balloons, flowers and textiles, so like in the hospital I visited. And patients went shopping there as well. Mostly sweets, books and newspapers or the occasional phone card. So why restrict this only to visitors? Eligible patients could/should be
- able to walk so not in coma or unconscious or other things like fresh surgery
- bored
- without pending treatment
They could get a bonus like (+ bought interesting stuff)

Agree, in fact, I've looked at the significant idle time some patients experience and think there are some definite opportunities here for some additional gameplay. Course I could also see things really moving out of balance if such additions aren't handled well with patients "gone" while doctors are awaiting diagnostic results/procedures.
