Complicated Diagnosis
Thu May 21, 2020 5:18 pm
Is there any way to switch this off? It's very frustrating to be telling my doctors to do the thing they do just fine for all the other patients, especially when there's only one possible option to pick! I know I can select 'let the doctor try', but I'd rather just.... not have it as a thing.

I don't think you can turn off the notification entirely, however I do believe on the "options" screen you can change the nature of the notification type so that it merely let's you know and it doesn't require you to take action at all.
correction: it looks like you may be able to turn the notification off entirely by selecting "none" on the left column of the notification options box.

Hi, yes, you can disable any notification either in the notification dialog itself or in options.
Also, the 'complicated diagnosis' shouldn't ever show up when there's only one possible diagnosis left, let me check if we can see it on our side - according to code it should also never happen if the patient has any lab tests running or before at least three examinations have been already performed.

It shows up when there's a few options, but when there's a load of tests left that they do *just fine* for every other patient, and they haven't done anything other than an interview or when the only test left is 'x-ray', it's frustrating. I appreciate you looking into it
I've turned the notification off now. When it happens, they sit for a while then get on with it.

I am not sure, whether this is important, but I get such a thing mostly in the early game with "differential diagnosis" and "X-Ray lower/upper limb" AFAIK. So there are only two options left (so more than one -> working as intended) and sometimes even the doc cannot do one of the two because he lacks the specialization. In that case you click and think "yay, railroading!".
If this would be connected to really difficult diseases like Lupus or if the doc has done a certain number of diagnoses without results, then yes.
