It appears that we can now have functional secondary labs that only serve hospitalized patients! Thank you for implementing this! I try to compliment whenever I can...and constructively criticize some too Smile

Does it really mean we can have second labs only for inpatients? Or that we can dedicate staff members within a lab to either inpatient or clinic patients?

since my hospital is fairly active and larger I tend to set things up, observe there functioning and then move on and forget (unless a prob creeps up) I do believe I setup a second hemo lab on a higher floor to serve my hospitalized patients (since the other lab depts seemed to be at sufficient capacity), I hired dedicated staff and they bumped to work after a short period of time. Now, I need to check-in on them again to make sure things are as they seemed to be, yet I do believe this is true.

Well, bummer, it looks like things were working very nicely, however, Observation patients are throwing a wrench into things. I'm getting them reporting to my inpatient hemo lab, dropping off results, and then leaving because I don't have a waiting room. Hmm, wonder if adjusting minimum time on observation will work.
