Cafeteria

So I bought DLC today and I have question about cafeteria.
How does it exactly work? I know that staff is going to eat there but when? Do they use them like common rooms? Where I should place them? On each department like common rooms? If I have one cafeteria per hospital they will walk whole hospital to get there? Or they wont use it if it is far away?

I ran some tests and it looks like that cafeteria is only used by staff for same floor.
Is it correct and staff from other floors cant use it so you have built cafeteria on every floor?

The cafeteria is one of the shared rooms. It should be open for all staff from all departments or floors ... mostly for lunch at lunchtime and for snacks if the staff is going around and it's hungry. We are going to check the reported "only for staff from the same floor" issue.

Do you think about possibility to using cafeteria by patients?

I should think it would be fairly horrifying to see patients staggering into a staff cafeteria with their bandages flapping and their IVs dangling. Not to mention that hospitals like to control the diet of their patients.

Oh, and I can confirm that staff from other floors do not use the cafeteria. They come downstairs to use the vending machines, to drink free fruit juice, and to use the toilets. They do not use the cafeteria. Everyone on the same floor does use it.

Well It's common in hospitals in my country (Poland) that hospital cafeterias are open to everyone.
I often came here when I was patient, especially when I had visitors (who paid for me )
