Doctor exaggerates the amount of exams

One patient was admitted to the observation. The doctor took him to the trauma department for tests, but he did 17 tests. The room where the exams were performed was occupied for several hours. The doctor has good experience.
I think that in real life a doctor does not do 17 tests at once. I believe that the procedure should be different, perhaps carrying out the tests most likely to detect the symptoms, and if it wasn't enough, do some more testing. Doing all the test at once, overload the laboratories.
This is my suggestion.
