Waiting rooms are shared? Empty Waiting rooms are shared?

Tue Aug 04, 2020 7:36 pm
Good afternoon,

I have like 4 doctor offices for emergency, so I usually put the waiting room next to each room, but I'm not sure if some patients are waiting in the incorrect waiting room, is this supposed to be like that or any waiting room is good if the department is the same?

Thanks.

Waiting rooms are shared. When patients arrive, they don't know which doctor's office will be free as next, so they tend to go to the nearest waiting room. If you have more questions you can join the (unofficial) Project Hospital Discord Channel: https://discord.gg/K63cJyP Smile

So you can have one big Waiting room for all offices. For radiology and the labs, it's useful to have separated waiting rooms, since the patient knows where to go next and he/she will choose the nearest waiting room to his/her destination.

Thanks for the answer, so I have a distant doctor office, do I need a ticket and tv for every waiting room or having it only in one waiting room will send them to different doctor offices for emergency?

Thanks!

You will need a TV and ticketing in every waiting room when you want to use this feature. If one waiting room doesn't have those, the doctor will come and call the patient.

So the optimal would be all the doctor offices together and a wide long way marked as waiting room with only 1 ticket machine and 1 screen?

In that case the waiting room could replace a corridor between the offices left and right and work like you describe it. Seems reasonable.
