@Daza92:
You can not be serious can you?
@Gunrek:
I think even without such incidents you will have enough work to keep the hospital going!

You’d think it was a joke but it happened in a hospital nearby three years ago.

Ok, I did not know that. That's tragic, of course!
I could imagine that in the game a small fire would be feasible. Anything further I think would go too far.

Yes, these are among first things on our wishlist /things not crucial for the core game, but also things great to have there asap/. Both big outside emergency situation (demanding quick action of bigger scale and care for lots of patients at once), and smaller "inside" issues of local characters.

I must confess, the external emergencies larger extent I had not even on the screen although it is so obvious.
As far as that is concerned, I have 2 wishes:
The most important:
There should be the option to turn it on and off!
The second:
The extent should be dependent on the level of difficulty / size of the hospital
Otherwise it could become too much for players who want to take it easy.
If there were at least the option to switch off in the game, then It would be completely enough. In this case, I'll say thank you in advance.

As much as I love seeing your enthusiasm, I fear I must remind that ... wishlist. What we have there may prove too difficult/ too demanding (in different areas). We sure hope it won't happen with anything we have there, but it's still a chance, as these points aren't yet being developed.
But thanks for excellent thinking about possible implementation - those comments are very good and catch the point of the game we're working on - to offer an easy and calm gaming experience to people wanting to relax while also intriguing people who want some challenge and situations demanding quick decisions of some importance.

First, thanks for the quick response. I have to agree with you and apologize. When I read your post about this feature, I was probably a bit too eager to comment on the subject. The events have for me personally also currently no priority, as you said it is on the wish list, nothing more.

Understandable this would be on the wishlist and not the core game. That being said, I'm still going to talk about it.
I feel like there could be a lot of possibility with this. especially in regards to external emergencies (i.e., a big car pileup). On one hand, you could make this a big situation a player just has to deal with (20 patients get dumped in your emergency room - deal with it the best you can). On the other hand, it could be a risk/opportunity moment (20 patients are injured - how many do you wish to accept? Take too many, you lose prestige as critical patients lack attention. Take too few, lose prestige because you aren't a major trauma center. Take enough to push your limits without over doing it, gain reputation). I would probably lean towards this second option, as it makes a player have to make a decision regarding risk & reward.
Anyway, just my thoughts for someday.
