Prescribing anticoagulants.
Sat Feb 04, 2023 9:20 pm
I had a patient who's doctor in the cardiology department was not qualified to prescribe anticoagulants. I had to take manual control of the patient to prescribe that and then give her back to the doctor. The doctor had Advanced Diagnosis. What skills should the doctor have had?

Hi! Required skill should be Cardiology or Critical Care and everyone on Cardiology and ICU should have this skill. Can you check if doctors in those departments have these skills, please?
If you have named departments working, could you please send us your save? We can have a look and give you some advice on how to solve it. :-)

Thank you for the reply!
Unfortunately I didn't make a save at that point; I just prescribed the medicine manually and then gave the patient back to the doctor.
But I believe the patient was assigned to Cardiology at the time.
I'll double check that all my doctors in the Cardiology department have cardiology and ICU.
And if it happens again, l'II make a save before taking over the patient and send it to you...
Thanks again! :-)

I checked all my departments a little while ago, and discovered that a lot of doctors just switched departments on their own. I had general surgery doctors working in cardiology, cardiologists working in orthopedics, etc., etc. It was a mess! I fired everybody and hired all new medical staff.
