Higher staff limit.

200 staff limit is too low for large hospitals. With floors not getting cleaned, each department has like 6 janitors day and 6 at night which takes up half the spots I need for doctors.

You can change it in Tweakables.xml, under Project Hospital\ProjectHospital_Data\StreamingAssets\Database\. Blame only yourself if your computer burns down afterward, though. I set mine to 300 and have about 230 employees with no problem except the normal ones being reported here.

Any idea where that file is on Mac? I would really like more staff.

I have no idea. Track it down using the location from which the executable runs.

I tried that. Unfortunately it's just the application in that location. It's also not near the save files from what I can tell. Any other ideas?

Can you run a file search by name?

I did that. I didn't come up with anything by the name Tweakables or Tweakables.xml (but I have to believe it's somewhere by the same name, no?)

Are you in the Steam Apps folder that's normally hidden in the Library? If so, two finger click on the Project Hospital icon and select "Show Package Contents." > Contents > Resources > Data > Streaming Assets > Databases > Tweakables.xml

If you're not there, you'll want to go into Finder and click users, and then press Cmd+Shift+. to show the hidden icons. Select from there your username ▸ ⁨Library⁩ ▸ ⁨Application Support⁩ ▸ ⁨Steam⁩ ▸ ⁨steamapps⁩ ▸ ⁨common⁩ ▸ ⁨Project Hospital⁩.

Yep not a problem! It took me a while to figure it out when I first went in to do it! I’ve found 500 to be the highest maximum I need. I’m on a 2015 13” MBP Retina with zero problems with a fully staffed hospital (which ends up being at most 460ish).
