Surgery Priority
Thu Nov 15, 2018 6:28 pm
Is there a way to prioritize surgeries? Don't we want aortic trauma to be addressed before a stapendectomy?
Does the surgery team in the respective department prioritize in any way, or just first-come first-served?

If there is any form of priority system in this game, it is entirely opaque to the player.

More player control on an overall level would be realy cool.

I just recently made a topic about this in the feedback section. It needs to be added. Right now the only way to fast track critical surgeries is to take over manual direction of every surgery patient and un-queue their surgery.

That's what I've been doing as well. Thanks for the reply, and for making this suggestion in feedback.

What we need is a procedure scheduler. Just a cross-table of times, patients, and doctors with the procedure being performed. Probably on a per room basis, or maybe per department, so that you could schedule things like x-rays as well.
The AI doctors populate the schedules, but it could also be used to help control breaks. So for instance, if the employee is scheduled for procedures they won't take a break until one of their needs drops below one star.
