Features Roadmap 2018 - 2019

Roadmap
Hi all, here's a short roadmap for future work on Project Hospital that so many of you have requested.
Updates
While bugfixes are still priority, here's a list of the features we'd like to still add to improve the game, compiled from both our internal backlog and the community feedback. Some might turn out to be too time consuming to be worth the effort, but hopefully we'll be able to add most of these in the next few months.
UI improvements
Better workspace info
Hiring categories matching categories in management panels
Unified workload information for different rooms
Better info about patients waiting for examinations or treatments
DLCs - 2019
We also aim to add more content next year - we'll be able to announce more details when we reach that stage, but here are some examples what we have in mind:

Modding related updates, including workshop support, making number of floors tweakable, scenario editor, and department shared rooms (particularly for staff rooms and cleaning closets) are easily the highest on my priority list personally. I feel like if you did a good job on those and then abandoned the game, the community might be able to implement the others.
Not that I think you would, I'm just saying those are the ones that bring long term viability for the community.
Fantastic looking list there, and I'm really intrigued by the list you have for the DLC. If there's good mod support, I'll likely pick up a DLC that adds something like a pediatrics department, or oncology department.
Oncology department in particular would be interesting because it wouldn't be very much like the other departments. The patients would be more long term, and you wouldn't need as many overnight rooms per patient. A lot of cancer treatment, at least at some of the early stages like most chemo, is out-patient.
An isolation ward would be interesting if there were events for things like an ebola or SARS outbreak.
For that matter, a research hospital aspect seems like a ripe topic for DLC, especially since it could create an interesting gameplay loop in the endgame.

Fixing bugs should be your priority now
Wed Dec 05, 2018 11:46 am
I think the game as I see it after a few hours of gameplay is messed with bugs,
and fixing those should be your priority now than adding more content.
Debug the core game and add the new content later on.
That is my opinion. Your approach may be different.

Firstly, I agree with burianvlastimil. The bugs, especially the plethora of characters getting stuck should be the No. 1 priority.
However, one simple feature that is missing and messing up hospitalization quite heavily is the ability to transfer patients out of ICU and from HDU to Regular Ward. Same with TC Hospitalization down to Observation. All of these transfers should be available.
Logically, once the patient has been taken care of 100% and just needs some rest, they should be transferrable to a lower tier ward.

@roman.oxymoron:
Does "Unlimited favorite/taken over characters" mean that we'll be able to take controll over diagnosis/therapy of all patients (instead of 12 at the same time)?

If so, Humppamonster, I hope there will also be functionality that automatically takes care of selecting patients for manual diagnosis. The clicking is so tedious...

Thank you, Devs!
If map rotation would be implemented in the future, I hope there is a way to make each two sides of walls to be different from one-another. Hopefully, a wall paint tool would be ideal.

They said bugfixing is still priority number one .
The gamebreaking bugs should be fixed as soon as possible for sure not like Windows 10 1809

Just a Thought!

Hey, just was wondering when adding the Wheelchairs, can you add dropping of sick people to the ER? How about pregnant, or giving birth, or a baby ward! How about a Morgue Room like having a Death Certificate sign by a doctor, to release the body.

Sounds great
If when you make the favourite characters unlimited you could add a way to re order them (maybe drag and drop in the list at the bottom that would be really helpful.

It would be nice to have the "all patients are favorites" option in the game menu. I like to "help" my doctors.

Hi,
Just wondering, without you having to give away too many secrets for upcoming updates or planned features, are you guys planning on adding any of the follow departments or expanding the stock departments more into these fields in 2020 or 2021?
If not? Awesome as I'd love slowly mod these department or content based on them in.
If yes or possible? I will hold off to avoid modding in departments you guys have an interest in adding or expanding more into the stock departments as I'm sure you are well aware the research for the content can take a heck of a lot of time.
Thanks in advance for any help!

Hi, it's a bit too early to announce anything specific, but there should be some minor changes in the diagnoses coming in one of the upcoming patches. Also, while we're not planning any of the items you listed as standalone departments, let's say Immunology probably has the highest change of not overlapping with any of the future content we'll be working on.

Hi, first post here. Are you still planning on adding things like wheelchairs? That would be such a cool idea. I love how realistic this game is!
