[NEED MORE INFO] Routing to Common Areas/Bathrooms needs to be fixed!! (Please!)

Okay guys, I've played this game many many hours, watched many times, verified with mine own eyes. I've seen countless staff route past their own restrooms and common rooms to others FAR across the hospital. Just before I wrote this message I watched one of my key trauma nurses walk all the way to the other side of the hospital to use the cardio restroom. The common areas all feature the same amenities, so preference shouldn't be an issue.
Also, I've noticed that for some reason in my patient-restricted trauma area (because in real-life patients don't wander around all depts of a hospital) restricting access to an area for patients seemingly has eliminated the staff using a large bathroom and potentially radiology common room right across the way.
PLEASE take a look at these issues! Staff should always try to route to the closes "shared amenity."

Hi, there's a couple of rules that may play a role here, could you check if they apply in your hospital?
- Staff prefer rooms marked as staff only and for example all restrooms on the character's floor are taken in account, so if there's only one for staff, the employees will choose it even if it's on the far side of the map (probably not the case here though)
- People reserve a wc as soon as they start going to the restroom to eliminate clashes with other characters, you can check for example in building mode if any of the toilets are free by the time a person is walking to another restroom - adding a few more toilet booths should fix it in this case.
Hope this explains a bit better how the systems work, also of course feel free to upload a save so we can have a look in detail and also check the trauma & radiology.

Appreciate the reply. I've played the game a long time and not sure if I've ever heard of the necessity for "staff-only" designations on these areas. I'll try that and see if it works. Course one would think the common rooms would be by default staff-only areas. The other component to this that I'm wondering: when calculating which common room to use, does that staff member route to the one nearest by square or by actual designated path.

Hi, yes, common rooms are staff-only by default, this makes difference mostly with bathrooms - but in your case I'd check the capacity first.
When choosing the destinations the game uses straight air distance - using path distance would give better results, but would have big performance implications (you can find some details at the end of this thread: https://steamcommunity.com/app/868360/discussions/0/1651043320644818282/ ).
