[QUESTION] Staff NOT Using Nearest Shared Room
Wed Mar 25, 2020 9:36 pm
Description:
Staff NOT Using Nearest Shared Room
Repro steps
A follow up from Steam Discussion.
I've observed technicians in converted cardiography and sonography rooms from specialised departments to Radiology, and they definitely make the long trek to the Radiology restroom few floors away, while there are empty toilet stalls in restroom on the same floor belonging to other departments.
Note: I do use quite a few mods, so it may not be your fault at all, and if so I apologise. It would really help to pinpoint which mod though if that's the case.

Hi, thanks for the message and welcome to the forum!
As far as I can tell from the description, this is the intended behavior, employees prefer rooms from their own department (also for lunch or free time) and only when these are occupied, they will use shared rooms from other departments.
You can probably achieve the results you're looking for by marking half of the restroom on the affected floor as radiology restroom, it should be then prioritized as the closest one on the department.

I went the other way and assigned the radiology restroom to another department so it doesn't have a dedicated one, now radiology technicians just go to the nearest restroom.
I can kind of understand why staff may want to go their own department's common room to eat and hang out with colleagues, but surely people usually just go to the nearest restroom? Suggestion for consideration.

Hi, thanks for the update! It's true that it's the same system that drives employees actions for all their needs, but it might be still possible/worth it to customize it further, but we'll see how the priorities work out.
- [QUESTION] toliet and rest room arent shared for staff
- [NEED MORE INFO]Staffs not using nearest staff room
- [QUESTION] Staff going several floor away for common room and restroom
- [QUESTION] STAFF NOT WORKING floors getting dirty and patients not being cared for. ALL ROOM NEEDS MET.
- [QUESTION] "Shared" rooms aren't shared.
