[RESOLVED BACKLOG] No clear way to identify long wait time issues - or a bug
Mon Nov 05, 2018 1:53 pm
This bug happens more often at night time than at day time.
The saved file shows four patients suddenly popped up all having to wait extra long times for surgery. The surgery is empty, the surgeons aren't working on any other patients, but there's no clear way to identify what the delay is caused by and how to resolve the issue.
The save file attached shows that none of the patients were treated to surgery that night even though there was a full night shift of staff and no one taking their place.
Is there a way to get a better understanding of what is causing the issue so it can be resolved? Or is this actually a bug?

Hello, i can not see attached file - could you please reupload it?
Anyway - check if you have also enough nurses to perform surgery during night shift apart from 2 nurses that are involved in surgery there must be another one that will transfer patient.

Hi There,
Please see the attachments for the autosave prior to the popups happening. Three pop up at 22:00 and another 3 pop up at 23:30
https://projecthospital.forumotion.com/t1123-attachment-for-bug4228#4281
When I add an additional surgery nurse, this seems to resolve the issue, with the doctors being scheduled for surgery. Thanks for the advice. The tool tip on the prefab only advises two nurses required.

Hi, thanks for the report, I see what's the problem (and let us check if there's a good place in one of the tooltips to add this bit of information).
While it's true you need two nurses during surgery, another one (no specialization needed) is required to transport the patient to the OR while the first two are preparing everything in there.
This is the main reason why it's required to have 3 nurses for the day shift. Providing surgery over night is not mandatory, so the number for night shift is only one, but the same rules apply.
