Question regarding sharing rooms

One thing that I dont udnerstant is that each departement on the room lost needs theire own common room, rest rooms, janitors and labs.

I can understand that you would need several of restrooms and janitor rooms spread out in a hospital, but from my own experience from hospitals, Im quite certain that common rooms or as I like to call them cantina's are shared by all staff in the building and placed on one place, on one floor, except on call doctors and nurses who have what they need in theire rooms.

I find it tideous that you must have several different common rooms placed all over the hospital, taking up space that could be a neighbouring office to each other. Same goes with labs, my aunt worked in a lab at a hospital, and they didnt just handle tests from ER, it was shared, once I was admitted to the hospital for a longer period, they did tests and dat after I found my aunt visiting me, I asked her how she knew. She was the one who handled my tests from internal medicine that day so she took her time in her lunch break.

So my question is, will the staff in the game, share the rooms, even though the room list on each departement says there is none to that departement?? Or do I actually have to build several duplicate rooms on every single floor?

as far as i see you dont espacaly need common Rooms, Toiletts for everyone ... also Janitors seem to clean some parts on the same Floor but different departments if their department is already clean: But as far as i noticed they dont clean special rooms like the operating theatre therefore you need at least one Janitor in each big department ... but my radiology doesnt have any special rooms and works fine ... the Janitors are cleaning everything, the toiletts are shared as are the commen Rooms

allright ill try a test on a new save and make one big common room on one floor, and see if they go there

Just remember that the time spent getting to and from the common room for their breaks comes out of their useful working time.
