You need three doctors to assist at surgery. The surgeon, the anesthesiologist, and a third one. You do not have a third one with "assist at surgery" checked. If you check one, the surgery will occur. Or it did for me, anyway.

Here, I will prove it to you that you do not have more than two doctors set to assist with surgery. And when I set them to assist, the operation happens. First three doctors.

Four because I otherwise would have had to decide which one of the two unchecked doctors would assist in the operation. The point is, you only had two checked and you needed three.

Hi, slink is right and it's a matter of setting your doctor roles correctly.
You have two surgeons with operative surgery skill, but only one has the Surgery/Trauma checked in. He also does have a Assistant at surgery checked in. So the game in this point is choosing him as an assistant so you actually are missing a surgeon.
If you check the Surgery/Trauma role for your second Surgeon as well the operation will start.
The roles for skills are actually turned on automatically so you might accidentally turned that off for your surgeon?

No, I did not disconnect these roles, however, I replaced the tables in the room and after that problems started for me.

The feedback system on surgery not being possible is really bad right now.
Make sure there are valid walkways to every object in the surgery room. If you select an object in build mode, it will show you a small black arrow where people will need to access it. Sometimes you only need one direction accessible, sometimes all of them, it is not made clear. Also, wall mounted objects like wall defibrilators or the surgery monitor block the tile they are in from being walkable.

Hi and thank you for the info. Did you by any chance delete the room layout as well? Because when you delete the room. Staff is send away to common room and their roles are removed because they are not able to perform them in the common room. This is will changed, because it seem more players have trouble with this one. It will be put in the next patch.

Did you at any time get the message that staff had lost their workplace and would be idle, and did you at any time then reassign them to their workplace?
