I've been playing the first scenario (In Debt), so I've been keeping a close eye on my money, but I keep ending up with far less money than expected after each day. After examining the budget window, I noticed that the total profit/loss for each day is not factoring in the cost for the loan interest. It's listed under "other", but not subtracted from the total. See below:
