[NEED MORE INFO] Doc stuck after assigning training

One of my docs is stuck in the study. He keeps studying orthopedic surgery, but does not finish. I removed the room and he went back to his workplace, but kept the study status. I even fired him after that hoping to clear him, but no, now he is walking in place and won't leave the hospital. Study status is still assigned.

What happens when you try to remove study status?

I cannot. Clicking on the hat symbol does nothing.

I had exactly the same problem.

I put some doctors in for training, but I noticed that they stayed in the "study room". When they clicked the "cancel training" button, they just remained standing in the room.

In an attempt to correct the situation, I changed their department. They move to their new tables, but they always remain standing with the "paper plane" icon. Even firing them, they remain without moving.

Random hunch, based on my own experiences today - do you have the more floors mod active?

No mods on my part.

All that mod does is change ' <GameDBTweakableInt ID="TWEAKABLE_MAX_FLOORS"> <Value>4</Value> </GameDBTweakableInt>' from 4 to 9, it shouldn't be able to cause the issue you highlighted.

I'm afraid I don't believe in coincidence. Removing the mod in the middle of the problem and the problem disappearing at the same time is too much of a coincidence (and yes, I had already restarted the game to try to clear it out)

Edit: I also found the post I was talking about. No dev involvement, my bad, but a user called 10pastnein posted a bug report called 'Graphical Issues', talking about computers bugging out on desks. They removed the ....... more floors mod and the problem went away (which is a problem I was also having, with computers and sinks looking weird). Evidently, the mod is affecting more than just the number of floors. Although I thoroughly agree, that seems such a weird thing for it to interfere with.

Btw, we have a fix ready for the next patch for a similar case where the problem was related to two projectors in the study room - isn't it the same in your hospital by any chance?

No, only one projector, one desk with PC and 2 chairs and bookshelf - quite minimalistic. He just kept sitting there flapping pages in his book. i became curious, when the progress popup did not appear and when he still was there over day (he was a night shifter).

Did you change his specialty?
If you made any change, switch it back to the original one (that was assigned to him automatically when he leveled up) and check if he has "learning" icon instead of plus sign.

I changed my doctor's specialty, from surgery to advanced diagnosis, WHILE he was learning surgery and he got stuck. Then I canceled advanced diagnosis learning, switched back to surgery being his specialty and then canceled surgery learning (i think he had a cap instead of plus, not sure).

Just give it few hours so that changes have a chance to apply and roll out.
