Chance of device failure with long service

As for me, hardcore and realism will add this DLS. Nothing lasts forever, the devices are the same.

As long as it will not make devices blow up like in Theme Hospital...This was a really nasty feature of that game.
But having a service tech in the administration dept. who will check up certain devices regularly, would be nice.

boy, this reminds me, a while back I was editing some xmls (non-tweak) for some minor things and noticed a line of code in this particular xml (I can't remember what it was, maybe the new ENT machine) and there was something in the line of code that referenced a repair or maintenance nature of sorts. I can't remember exactly what it was though. I do recall thinking it quite interesting at the time.

I think this is a very good idea as an option (optional content type like DLC).
I personally enjoy diagnosing and treating patients rather than management and maintenance, so I think this function is a pain.
However, as a matter of course, there are very many people who enjoy "management" including such maintenance.
For those "managers", it will make the game more complicated and rewarding.
idea:
Insufficient maintenance of the equipment involved in the diagnosis may result in equipment failure or malfunction, which may result in missing symptoms or incorrect output (eg wrong bone fracture). ..
Failure of treatment-related equipment may cause the patient to be taken to the room where the better, unaffected equipment is located.
In this game, all symptoms are categorized as either "untreated" or "treated", so I don't think it can be treated as "insufficient therapeutic effect".
Treatment with a deteriorated device simply fails and requires a new treatment with a better device of the same type or repair and use the device again.

Yes, they did blow up. Especially the deflating unit as it is used many times. If you have too few janitors to service it properly it will blow up killing everyone in the room and the worst part is you cannot clear up the room and it stays broken. That was annoying as heck. Do not want that in project hospital

Adding the need for equipment maintenance would be a nice touch of realism for the game.
