[NEED MORE INFO]Observation Unit: Labs not completing/Lab Patient Images disappearing (Images included)
Sun Jun 07, 2020 10:41 pm
I really like the ability to open a second lab w/ inpatient focus. However, I have noticed a couple of things:
1. The lab tech will have a picture of the patient for whom the sample they're working/handled until they place it in the lab fridge, then the image of the patient in their staff card disappears even though they're still working on that said patient's sample.
2. Observation patients are not having their samples processed by lab staff that are at the very least dedicated to hospitalized patients. (Observation should be included in hospitalization and not clinic). I've noticed these patients "time-out" even after hours in the unit, report to the lab to drop-off their sample, and then leave. Their samples should be processed while they're hospitalized, I've boosted staff and this still doesn't happen.
Picture 1 is of the patient the sample belongs to. picture 2 is of the staff member and what happens after they leave the fridge even though they're still processing that patient's sample.
I wasn't able to capture an image of #2 though it does happen regularly.
please help.

Hi and thank you for the report. Can you please upload your save file, so we can have a look. We tried it on our end and everything seems to be working as expected.
As for the observation patients, they can quickly switch between being assigned to clinic/hospitalization, so it's possible the sample will end up in the opposite kind of lab by the time you look at the patient. Could you check if the patient is actually dropping off a sample or getting the results when stopping by the lab after being released from observation?
