A patient left the hospital because he has been waiting too long for the treatment. The message read that he will return the next day. I played until 17:35 the next day hoping to see him. I haven't seen him yet. When can I expect him to show up again?

The message specifically says "if they have tests running, they'll come back the next day." If he didn't have tests running, he won't come back.
