[NEED MORE INFO] Generally questionable Janitor A.I Empty [NEED MORE INFO] Generally questionable Janitor A.I

There is clearly dirty on a floor or even blood but they often mop down areas where they already are... cleaned.. Not to mention they also clean floor tiles right next to blood and they still not clean up the blood. I feel like they clean completely randomly.

idk if its bug or not but I would love if you could give them a priority of dirt/blood over already-cleaned floors.

Blood is only cleaned by janitors assigned to the department where the blood is located. So if you have blood spill in a General Surgery department, for example, a cleaner in the general surgery department will mop it up while all the cleaners assigned to the Emergency Department will ignore it.

Janitors will go after dirt in any department, but they will prioritize (although I could be wrong on this one) their own department. So you will likely need multiple janitors assigned to a cleaning closet to get them to spread out.

But they dont mop the reception of emergency even though they are part of emergency. Will check it around.

Oh, gotcha. Huh. I'm sure someone here could help you but a screen shot or saved game file would be helpful.

They still wont mop that is unless I hire a huge army of janitors at cost of wages expenses...

Hi, could you please attach your saved game so we can check this specific case?

A few ideas:
- Each janitor reserves a room, so huge rooms sometimes take long time to clean
- Janitors with low skills aren't very efficient in choosing the next tile to clean
- Blood should be always prioritized though

There are quite a lot blood around and they dont even clean them lol. Hell, an operating room got blood and its been days last time they went to mop it up! Embarassed

EDIT: They also dont prioritize the very dirty tiles correctly either way.

From what I have seen, it looks like janitors just seem to ignore certain designated areas because god knows why. If you remove the designation and replace it with one exactly the same they usually start cleaning there immediately. I'm suspecting that extending rooms beyond their original size by selecting inside the boundaries, like enlarging a hallway around a corner might cause it to happen more? Or drawing rooms over other rooms? But I'v also seen this happen with prefab rooms, maybe there the weird sized / adjusted hallways are causing problems?

Besides that, 2 block wide horizontal hallways seem to be problematic, it looks they never select that for cleaning either.

It's not never, but I have this problem on my upper floor. 3 janitors on day shift, 1 at night. And they never clean the corridor. When they clean everything(all rooms) they just run from one end of the corridor to the other and do nothing. There is no such problem on the ground floor.

PS. This dirty area is designated as a surgery corridor.

I think that I "solve" it.

I always make one corridor designation area combined from a couple of corridors in a department. Its look like the janitors can't efficiently clean it. I tried to split it into 9 separate corridors and now they clean everything. Smile

The area in the picture is now 3 independent corridors, and they start to clean it right away.

But I think its still some kind of bug?
