[RESOLVED] Elevators and new floor foundations
Thu Nov 01, 2018 9:08 am
Unable to place elevator after new floor created
- New floor created
- Elevators can not be placed on ground floor or any other level
* Information bottom of screen "Prefab can be placed here" but when selecting area, elevator has red invalid border and not able to place.
- Delete foundation on other level does not delete foundation, leaves grey area that cannot be removed
Any advise?

Hi, we fixed some inconsistencies in the highlighting of elevator placement and enabled building of elevators outside (automatically adding foundations) for yesterday's patch, could you please check if it fixes it on your side?

I have a similar problem
Building a new floor
The blasting tool eliminates the foundation of the new floor and leaves the grey area
Can't make a tall building
There are also glass doors that are transparent on other floors.

Running into same bug.
Only way to increase height of hospital is by using "add new floor". Cannot manually add foundation to an upper layer that was not created by "Add new floor".
Once you click add new floor, it creates a new ceiling an additional layer higher. That new ceiling layer cannot be deleted either. Just as the video above showing the new floor layer, what was the previous ceiling, the ceiling cannot be deleted either after adding a new floor.
Steps to reproduce:
1) New map.
2) Create a foundation (any size, but 3x3 is easy to see and will help with the next section).
3) Click floor up. You will see a ceiling, even without walls.
4) Dynamite entire ceiling and it turns into null squares that will not accept anything accept a new foundation tile.
Additional (building from #4). Any additional foundation is removed if part of the base is deleted.
5) While viewing the now null ceiling tiles, start "Build Foundations", but on a larger patch than the null area. This will be allowed.
6) Click floor down to go back to ground floor
7) Delete one tile from foundation.
Click floor up and see that tile removed and all additional ceiling tiles removed as well that are not supported by a ground foundation tile.
As an avid management and simulation gamer, that finds aesthetics a huge part of the game play, this is pretty game breaking to me. I can't progress beyond a ground floor hospital at the moment.
