Question | Suggestion about floor heights

Hello there!

First of all I wanted to congratulate you for what you're creating... it looks so beautiful already. I have seen the screenshots confirming that there will be different floors in the hospital, but I was wondering: what happens if you delete the floor in a specific area of the 2nd floor? Can you then see the 1st floor while the 2nd floor is active? I know this could be complicated to implement, but if it would be possible we would be allowed to create indoor balconies, or more complex structures. For example we could create a lobby with very high ceilings, and a corridor on the second floor overlooking the lobby, and things like that.

I hope I have explained myself correctly! My english still needs improvement. Thanks for your time and congratulations again! I'll be first in line to buy this game when it's released!

Hi, this is an interesting one! Generally the building mode allows a lot of options and freedom, for example sky bridges are very much possible. In this particular case you'd probably see the 1st floor's floor below, as we hide inside walls on the floors below the active one for performance reasons - but I guess I can figure a way to make this work.

It would be AMAZING if you could make this work. Can you imagine how cool it would look? A main lobby with super high ceilings, like for example 3 floors, and then some corridors with railings in the second and third floor, overlooking the main lobby. I can imagine it must be tricky from a performance point of view, but even if you cannot see the people moving in the floors below, just the furniture and architectural elements, it would be such an achievement!

Our lobby is 14 floors high IRL so I hope this is possible! Lol
