Clicking the 'move object' button in the doors and windows build menu doesn't work. You have to delete and recreate them.

This isn't a bug. Windows and doors aren't intended to be movable - wouldn't be terribly realistic for them to be. They're not sofas.

That's not true. I have had a door moved in my house and it was no easier or harder or cheaper or more expensive than having a new one added or having an unwanted one deleted (bricked up). The moving of an existing door is a normal part of a building or renovation process. Moving a door in the build mode of this game should be as easy as it is to delete one and add a new one.

Realistic? Really?
So where are all the construction workers for the building? The painters and tilers? Where are the movers who carry the furniture into the building? Where are the suppliers supplying the necessary materials (office supplies, medical supplies, cleaning materials for the cleaners, etc.)?
This is simply a feature that developers have forgotten to include. You don't have to come with realism!

Hi, thanks for the suggestion! While not the highest priority, we might implement moving doors when we get to work on the requested/planned improvements in building mode - marking as 'backlog'.

Btw - the move button would be most likely added to the doors/windows section of building mode, not under objects anyway. Smile

You can't pick up and move staff at will - another missing feature! Or a design choice. Oh, no - it so difficult to make these sweeping judgements.

I said realistic, not real.

Jan - There is a button in the 'Doors and Windows' panels of build mode that is marked 'Move objects' that works like the regular move button (working on furniture and decorations). It has a picture of a window on it - that might be part of why people are getting confused.

Yes, because usually the move or delete buttons in the other panels do apply to the type of object the panel contains. In fact I really felt sure I had moved a door on one occasion.
