[QUESTION] Floor tile removal

Can’t select the x to delete floor tiles. Have to use dynamite. I know I can replace with other tiles but that is not the point. Small bug but irritating. Thanks for a great game by the way.

Dynamite removes the foundation. If you want to make a tiled part look like foundation, the first tile selection will do that. Is that what you wanted to do?

Thanks, but no. I just want to delete tiles but couldn’t find a way apart from dynamite or replace with new tiles. The small x selection isn’t working. Same for doors - that x doesn’t work either.

The X on doors does work for me, which is much better than making a hole in the wall that needs mending. Thanks for pointing that out to me. The X on the floor tiles does not, as you say, although if you use it after selecting the X for doors it will automatically begin putting down the construction floor tile. Kind of an odd synergy there, but you said that was not what you wanted. I am not sure what you want to appear in place of a removed tile, if you don't want the construction tile and you don't want the foundation removed.

Perhaps it would be simpler to remove the x altogether so that only laying a new tile will be the alternative.

Actually floor tiles can not be deleted as walls, doors, etc. - when you place foundations, you get default construction floor - it represents the lower layer of the floor. If you want to change the flooring - you just replace it with some pattern.

Regarding the X button to remove floors - we will consider to make it happen by replacing area with the default flooring in some future update.
