More specialization of nursing staff, allowing upskilling of nurses into some medical roles.

I'd love to see the last point make it to the game eventually. The difference between running hospitals on a set governmental budget or from private insurance payments has a lot of scope for changing up how the game is played and how your hospital evolves over time!

I'd like to impliment a kind of security-System for varying kinds of infected. Like a normal security-level. Then a higher level, to commit by a door and nurse-reseption and an epedemic-level, entranced by an double-door-system. Or somethink like that04.19.2018

Infection control; after surgery as well as diseases spreading within wards. MRSA etc... Ways to control ie policies for your staff: This could be done in a policies menu where you select a policy (Ie nurses must wash hands:) and a drop down menu with options such as (at beginning of shift, after every action with patient) it would be cool to try balance time management with safety in a hospital. the same drop down menu could be used for differently costing medicines, cleaning products, food options, surgery equipment.

Hi! I want to suggest research as a future update to the game, given that it is a core part of hospitals and Medicine nowadays. As I developed on Consultancy, maybe a Research department, or a separate building; some place where clinicians and researchers can work together and discover new therapies, new treatments and machines... Think about it!

Hi, we should probably reply in this thread as well - while not planned for the full game, research is andeed a great topic for future updates.
A few points about the current design: while there's no timeline with new developments yet, there's progression and unlocks throughout the game in sandbox mode, handled by the insurance system. Different insurance companies give challenges that you need to pass to unlock them, get access to their specific patients and also to more advanced equipment and options for your hospital.

It would be coolto implement also:
- medical waste management
- training facility for employees
-naturale disasters as an emergency triage situation ( mass accidents, epidemic situation)
-nosocomial infections (you should be able to close your ward if you would have had f.e. a E.Coli infestation)
- disinfection management

Hello,
It would be good a diagnostic department as in the House M. series.
other departments such as: medical director, medical file, statistic, administrative maintenance sector and the financial sector. department services for serious cases such as emergency department, trauma center, burn unit, emergency surgery or urgent care. These can be supported by specialist units such as cardiology, intensive care, neurology, gynecology and obstetrics and oncology.
They could also put other support units, which help in the treatment and the medical diagnosis as: pharmacy, pathology and radiology or bioimaging, transplants, blood transfusion, scientific department.

Would be good to see outpatient and inpatient abilities as well. For parking lots, parking garages where you can also build them layer by layer similar to how you do the floors currently. In the parking garages also an ability to change parking rates and add in certain parking passes like a weekly pass for frequent treatment patients etc. As well as the option of a human cashier booth and/or automated pay station. Plus ability to open and close entrances as you see fit based on traffic, time of day, shifts, etc.
Ability to set up parking regulations and patrol and ticketing of vehicles that are improperly parked or towing if need be similar to how many hospitals operate.
Second idea:
signage. The ability to place signs to direct people. For example in the Game, Planet Coaster, there is an ability to select a sign and place it. Once it is placed you can then open the sign's individual menu and tap a button to set an advertised location so that when guests see the sign they are directed to the actual area you want them to go to. This would be great for this game or something similar to it, perhaps in a future update or in initial release. Another needed portion of that would be color coded elevators like many hospitals have. With the idea of signage in mind, the idea of putting a sign in place in various spots through hallways directing to the color coded elevator.

Wishes from a medical student
New medical specialties - (infectious disease unit (with isolation rooms, tropical disease) Oncology), , Different surgical specialties - (neurosurgery, transplantations, cardiovascular surgery (especieally when you already have cardiology and neurology).
Supporting specialties - Pathology, pharmacy, PET-scans,
Cancer disease, where even if you do all the right things, the patient can still die
Possibility of researching at your hospital - improwing treatments and the ability to diagnose different diseases - Cancer diseases

The implementation of "internship" system will be great a generation of young students and we decide to which department they're assigned and with time they practise and become doctors with the characteristics of the department and skills of their teachers.

Agreed. From previous conversations on the forum I don't think this is likely to make initial release, but I think this would be a great addition at a later point. The possibilities for this are endless and, at least in America, almost all Level 1 trauma centers are teaching hospitals. Could make a wonderful addition, especially if it is combined with some sort of doctor/nurse recruitment system.

Randomness & failures - most game-systems are very 'binary', so when you do this-thing then you always get that-thing.
My perception of the medical world is that in most cases they don't know much, and even less things the know for sure.
So it would be 'great' to see (in a game world, not in real world...) that the 'worst' doctor can make the right diagnosis and treatment, while the best doctor once in a while fails on it's diagnosis. I think that matches the real world better also, and increases tension in your game. Also the time needed to recover from surgery is different per patient, and the expected time until you can leave also varies from day to day.
Autopsy - to investigate when people do die (even though you tried, right!?)
- this can help to gain knowledge of where to train your doctors
- this can help 'unlock' diagnosis information about diseases (oh, by performing this treatment/scan/whatever, we have a high chance of determining this disease too...)

Is there a thing like oncology? So people coming in week after week to seek there treatment and maybe even failing to survive there radiation treatment.
The topic cancer is so big and is able to give every injury some kind of depth because the investigation of cancer is so hard. Things like bladder cancer, lung cancer, lymphoma or leukemia.
Another but more fun thing (at least for not-doctors......) would be the saturday-nightshift event. Every person working in a hospital can relate to this, i think. Dozens of slightly injured but drunk people are coming in. Sometimes just sleepy but sometimes highly aggressive. Or even more worse when people got way too drunk. Writing this: thinking about alcohol caused coma does make me wondering if there are cases with coma patient. I've seen people being for a bit longer in the hospital, but are there rare cases of patients staying for monthy or something like that?
Another thing could be medical assisted suicide (euthanasia)... elderly people coming by which are suffering from a fatal illness are stoping to be put into to sleep by doctors or things like that...
I'm very hyped and very glad to be a new part of this community

I've more or less read all topics here and I've never seen suggestions about psychiatric.
I can easily understand this is not foreseen to be part of the game right now, but I'm pretty sure a kind of DLC containing full scope of psychiatric would be an interesting add on the game.
What I mean is I'm sure if a psychiatric department is added with deep and coherent contents, not only few illnesses to say "well, we cover a bit the psychiatric", it will give a new dimension to the game. Because to my pov, psychiatric or often forgotten but it is a real deep and interesting department such as oncology or cardiology for others
To complete my contribution about the wish-list, I would say that I would prefer to get a real good and stable game basis/skeleton available on the release date, with :
- generalists, emergency, radiology, traumatology, surgery,... as you did
- adding pharmacy
- adding morgue
- improving laboratory and science matters is needed
- adding/improving the university relationship with the hospital (teaching hospital matters)
- blood management (donation, controls and so on)
- giving the two massively different state of mind in between public and private hospitals. This point shall be marked as mandatory to my pov because it simply change the way to play. If too late for you to implement, it could be added with an update to install on steam.
- and maybe more if I miss any hospital foundation function.
and then make the game living with several specialized DLCs focusing on single medicine specialty each, such as :
- psychiatric
- oncology
- obstetrics
- neurology
- dermatology
- sports medicine / reeducation
- and as more as you could find !
All this in a way that of course the goal is not to pollute the player with expensive DLC policy.
I guess it could be easily done with relevant prices per DLCs owning each a medicine specialty content and diagnosis.
Well I let you judge about it, you are the professionals
I don't know if I am clear enough, I hope so.
And I don't know from others but I take this opportunity to tell you that I have the personal feeling this game is being made with a relative serious about how to treat the illnesses and it will probably be part of these kind of games which "teach" the player and open himself to a new point of interest.
Note : I have no relation with medicine in my life. Just interested about your project and try to not become impatient junky to play this game !!
Thank you guys for your job. Keep going with this mentality !
