Shift Change? Empty Shift Change?

The latest patch includes a change to how the shift changes work. What does this actually do, because I can't see a difference. Shift change happens, and ALL my night shift staff appear on the map at the same time. Ditto for day shift.

From what I have seen in the game, a portion of the staff that is on the next shifts starts to arrive once there are 30 minutes left before the shift change. It does not completely replace the large blobs of staff going in and out, especially when you have several hundred members of staff in your hospital, but it does send have a few arrive early.

Hi, yes, basically this is how it works now - I think it can be up to 45 min in advance and especially staff who work on the far side of the hospital and not on the ground floor are the first ones to arrive. The arrivals are also a bit more spread out, but probably not a difference you'd notice with hundreds of employees. Smile

One more note though: the arrival times are actually decided quite a bit in advance for each employee, so if you load an older save, one or two shift changes will still run according to the 'old rules'.

I think it should be set to 60 minutes before shift change and most of the staff should come by this time. Perfect would be if at shift change time and later come only staff with come late perk

Q. For Devs really.  Could the timer not slow down for the change period thus making the staffing faster?
