[NEED MORE INFO/RESOLVED] ICU Bed became two halves and broke

I was redesigning my ICU using the tool to move around objects of my already existing rooms and it broke a bed that I cannot for the life of me get rid of now. There is no patient in the bed, the game isn't even recognizing it as a bed anymore since it's the ghost of two beds merging in to one.

I've tried so far:
Dynamite/Bulldozer (I can mark the area for destruction but clicking to confirm does nothing)
Changing room type of the bed area
Changing department of the bed area
Re-adding the equipment to make the bed viable (bed is no longer recognized as a bed at all)
Closing the ICU department
Restarting/reloading the game

I have two mods installed, I don't know if they make a difference

Hi, thanks for the detailed report and for joining the forums to let us know about the issue!

Good news first, we have a fix for the second part of the problem with deleting the broken bed, it should be included in the next patch. Also, could you please try the attached save? I managed to edit the bed out by hand, so hopefully you'll be able to continue from there.

All that said, it would be great if you keep paying attention to what happens when deleting objects in the future, as this is the only time since the game released I remember seeing anything similar. If you come across it again, we'd love to learn more about how it happened, if there was for example undo involved etc. I've tried different combinations of the building mode tools, but I don't really expect to be easily able to reproduce the issue on my side. First of all thank you for fixing my game

I've been trying to recreate the bug myself and have unfortunately been failing.
It seems to be a very rare bug or something specific you'd need to do to cause it. I did note in the early save that the bed that broke had just been emptied before I started remodeling, the patient was moved back to the General surgery department. I may have started moving things at just the right/wrong moment when the game allowed me to but was deeply unhappy of me doing so. I'm pretty sure I used the move, copy and undo functions so any of them could be the culprit. Or all of them combined

Yes, because of the nature of the game and all the possible combinations of actions and situations some rare issues like this one can still happen and are always really hard to track down (although we've managed to fix quite a few over the years). In either case, if you come across anything similar in the future, feel free to attach a fresh log file, hopefully there will be a useful error message that will point us in the right direction and we'll be of course happy to include a fix in one of the future updates.
