Can't transfer from trauma to infirmary

Hi

I have a patient in trauma with a simple arm fracture. I've treated him with plaster splint and now, he's laying down recovering at trauma. In my opinion, this is a minor injure and I believe he could be transfer to infirmary to open up space for another patient who arrives in a serious condition. Is it possible? Does it happens in real life?
