[MODDING NEED MORE INFO]Still having issues with Shockwave Therapies
Fri Jul 17, 2020 8:01 am
Hello, I am still having issues with the shockwave therapies for my patients. I have a fully functioning general surgery department including two sonography units staffed. I have a patient who is hospitalized and have had several just like this, where they cannot get the treatment. I know it was an issue in the past that was supposed to have been resolved, but unless I'm missing something, its not working for me. Screenshots below, all other things working fine, and am pretty experienced with the game, that being said, maybe I missed something? There are a couple mods in, three departments added, and a couple decoration type mods, but beyond that nothing to effect general surgery treatments. Thanks for the help!

Hi and thank you for your report. When you hover over the shock wave treatment, what does the tooltip say? Without a save it will be hard to determine what might have caused this, but I just tested it and everything seems to work as it should. You are mentioning couple of mods and new departments, so my best guess would be that one of them modified the DiagnosesSURG or Treatments xml and is causing that the shock wave treatment can't be prescribed. Can you check that for me please?

How do I check whether the mods edited those files? The mod files claim to be compatible with all updates etc.

Hi and thank you for the save. But as expected I can't open it, because of the mods. You can check what files are modified here:
YourInstalFolder\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\868360\ and there will be folders with the downloaded mods.
You can also try to start game without a mod to see if the same this is happening in the base game

I am having the same problem and am 99% sure it is the Urology mod. I don't want to remove it because then I can't use my saves. Is there anyway to patch the saves themselves? Or find a way to edit the XMLs (since I don't know much about that aspect) so the shockwave treatment will be available?

Hi, the best and safest way is to notify the owner of the mod and let him know.
If you would like to solve it yourself, you need to locate the Treatments.xml file in:
YourInstalFolder\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\868360\
and check if the setup is the same as in the base game. But doing this might break the game too, because we don't know the extent of changes made in the mod.
